Captec Wins Place in Sunday Times 2015 BDO Profit Track 100
Captec are delighted to have won a place in the 2015 Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table.
Published on Sunday 12th April, the 16th annual Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s private companies, with the fastest-growing profits, over the last three years. Only thirteen companies made their debut on the Profit Track 100 this year, and only nineteen companies out of the full one hundred, are from the South East of Britain. An indicator of just how competitive the league table is. Profit Track 100 is part of the overall Fast Track league tables that rank Britain’s fastest growth companies across various performance metrics.
Captec received special mention in the lead article from Stuart Lisle, partner in the southeast at BDO, the title sponsor of the league table. Captec MD, Max Toti, was quoted commenting “I am excited by the prospects of scaling Captec for an IPO float. It’s a scary journey, but my vision to build an international brand for industrial and specialised computers is my burning passion”. The scaling and growth of Captec is in support of an on-going grooming strategy, to prepare for an IPO float in 2018. This comprises a mix of investments in infrastructure, innovation, marketing and international expansion for organic growth, as well as strategically selected acquisitions.
Stuart Lisle further commented on the region’s success stories:
“Medium-sized businesses in the southeast and across the UK are thriving. The Southeast’s most profitable companies have remained focused on sustainable growth by making intelligent investment decisions in innovation and overseas expansion”.
For Captec it’s a recognition of all the investment and hard work that has gone into the growth of the business, built on a solid sustainable foundation.
The Profit Track 100 inclusion, comprises a hat-trick of recognitions achieved so far in 2015, the 30th anniversary year of the business. It closely follows inclusion in the London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, and the South’s Most Ambitious Companies Award.
