In June 1944, British, US and Canadian forces invaded Nazi-occupied France. The invasion marked the beginning of the end for Adolf Hitler’s domination of Europe. Less than a year later, World War Two was over, and the Allies had won.
It is no surprise then that D-Day has earned its place as one of the most significant battles in history.
And this year, we commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, one of the most remarkable Allied wartime operations.
With the Captec head office based just outside of Portsmouth, we will be very close to the action, where many displays will take centre stage for D-Day 75 commemorations.
The event will feature entertainment and activities for all the family, including arena displays, military and vintage vehicles, exhibitions, a vintage market, music and dancing from the 1940s and film screenings.

For this year’s 75th anniversary, we are supporting The Royal British Legion, a charity at the very heart of a national network that provides care and assistance to the Armed Forces community.
