Quality Engineer - UK Immediate - Fareham Office Based
We have a vacancy for a Quality Engineer to help us continuously improve our quality performance. You will work closely with our production technicians continually looking for ways to improve our already high standards of workmanship and remove non-value-adding activity. You will work with our purchasing team to improve the quality of supplied materials, and you will work closely with our Production Manager and Quality Manager to produce high quality, accurate work instructions to ensure production accuracy and consistency, right first time, every time.
Key requirements include:
- A high-energy, hard working, collaborative team player with a can-do, will-do positive mindset and a "whatever it takes to deliver results" attitude.
- Focused on continuous quality improvement.
- Familiar with computer components.
- Electromechanical assembly experience.
- Numerate with good analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 preferred, but training will be given.

Project Manager UK - Immediate
Captec’s expanding Engineering capability has given rise to the requirement for a talented Project Manager. The expansion in capacity and project complexity necessitate the appointment of an experienced manager capable of dealing with a multi disciplined technical team to deliver custom projects within budget and on time, every time. The manager will need to handle several projects simultaneously ensuring that the Engineering processes are adhered to and developed as required. Key Requirements are:-
- Demonstrable track record of theoretical and practical, multi-discipline project management. Including fast turnaround as well as longer timescale support programmes technical projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Strong motivational skills with an ability to maintain and drive multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent Customer (internal and external) facing skills including programme negotiation and scope change control. Providing a strong and clear communication channel to all stakeholders.
- Conversant with project management best practice techniques. Able to enforce and instigate project controls and KPIs.
- Organised and tidy with good time-management. Self motivating and able to learn new skills quickly.
- Proven ability of accurate and pragmatic estimating and budgeting
- Self motivated and able to react quickly to project variance from plan. Able to handle pressure to meet deadlines yet flexible, adaptable and accepting change.
